I’m Lizandra Leigertwood and I’m a psychotherapist, who helps people to improve their relationships, with themselves and with others.
I work 1:1, with couples to let go of unhelpful beliefs, set healthy boundaries and implement real long-lasting change so that they can have happy reciprocal relationships.
I also have a signature online program for women who want to feel more secure in their relationships.

FAQs
Individual counselling sessions typically last for 50 minutes. Couples counselling sessions are 60 minutes or 90 minutes by special request. It can be helpful to commit to the same time and day every week, although I am aware other commitments might make this difficult and will try to offer flexibility where possible.
It depends. I have experience working short term or longer term. I normally recommend at least six sessions to see the full benefit. Many clients choose to have weekly sessions for longer.

I am experienced in clinical assessments and offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation prior to your first appointment to make sure that I am able to provide the right service for you. Alternatively, I am often able to refer to other local services if I am not the right therapist for you. The first session is finding out more about you so that we can then decide together the best way that you can get the most out of your therapy. Payments for your session are made 48 hours in advance of your appointment. Payments are secure through Stripe and my online booking system. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, with less than 24 hours notice the full fee is payable.
1:1 Therapy Fees: £90 per 50 minute session
Couples Therapy: £130 per 60 minute session

I like to use the analogy of going to the gym, you can’t train once a fortnight and expect to see physical change. Weekly therapy sessions offer focus, continuity and in my experience, the best therapy outcome. I only work with a certain number of clients at any one time, so you can be assured I’m fully invested in our work together.
ONLINE COUNSELLING
Online Counselling from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a phone/laptop/tablet and a good internet connection.
My special interest areas are working with relationships and attachment, anxiety and trauma.
I am an integrative relational therapist, which means I am able to use different ways of working to create an individual therapy experience that is catered to you.
I look at how harmful experiences of the past are impacting you in the present. I use CBT principles of behaviour change and holistic approaches to give you the skills to make long lasting change.
