Individual counselling sessions typically last for 50 minutes. Couples counselling sessions are 60 minutes or 90 minutes by special request. It can be helpful to commit to the same time and day every week, although I am aware other commitments might make this difficult and will try to offer flexibility where possible.

It depends. I have experience working short term or longer term. I normally recommend around six sessions to begin with but the decision is ultimately yours. It is possible to do very focused work within three to four sessions if that is something you require.

The best way is to send me an email or fill in the contact form where I aim to respond within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can call me directly, if I am unable to take your call please leave a message on my confidential voicemail service and I will call you back as soon as I can. If talking on the phone feels difficult, you can always send me a text. 

I am experienced in clinical assessments and offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation prior to your first appointment to make sure that I am able to provide the right service for you. Alternatively, I am often able to refer to other local services if I am not the right therapist for you. The first session is finding out more about you so that we can then decide together the best way that you can get the most out of your therapy. Payments for your session are made 48 hours in advance of your appointment via BACS, this is to confirm and secure your booking. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, so it’s important that you inform me if you are unable to attend your session. If for any reason you unable to make a bank transfer, I can accept major debit payments at the start of your session.
